- RN Renewal Requirement
- 20 hrs or certification / 2 yrs
- Mandated Topics
- 2 hrs jurisprudence & ethics; human trafficking (BON-approved)
- Accepted Providers
Any course/offering/activity/program that offers Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) contact hours and is in the nurse's area of practice can be used for licensure renewal so long as it is approved by a credentialing agency or provider recognized by the Board. States CEs are accepted from other state boards.
The human trafficking course must be BON-approved.
- Aesthetic Practice Rules: Specific Guidance
Position Statement 15.9 (laser therapy): documented training, an order from a physician or collaborating APRN/PA, and medical backup. The position statements also cover delegated nonsurgical cosmetic procedures, and the Medical Board’s Rule 193.17 sets supervision.
